  • Music in the Plaza/Singing Winds Crafts Market

    Art and Crafts created by local artisans will be featured at Singing Winds Crafts Market in Kensington Plaza.   • Stitching Community: Telling Stories through Embroidery and Writing with Farida Ruhul and Roohi Choudhry

    Tuesdays, March 24, April 21, June 2,

    Brooklyn Public Library, Kensington branch
    In this workshop, participants will learn traditional kantha running stitch embroidery and weave stories about home and belonging with our neighbors. Embroidery instructor Farida Ruhul and writer Roohi Choudhry will guide us through stitching and chatting together, then we will write and share stories. This is a bilingual program open to Bangla and English speakers. Supplies will be provided, all are welcome.
